Our Activities

Child education initiative

In many of India’s small villages, education is primarily delivered through local government primary schools, where children aged five to ten attend classes from 1st to 5th standard. Often, just one teacher is responsible for all the children in a school, putting rural students at a disadvantage, particularly given the current standardized curriculum and centralized exams. Challenges such as teacher shortages and a disconnect between formal education and everyday village life further hinder progress. To address these issues, the Central Government has introduced initiatives like the Right-To-Education (RTE) Act of 2009, aiming to ensure elementary education for all children aged six to fourteen. Despite these efforts, gaps in rural education remain, underscoring the need for additional support and innovation to truly level the playing field for rural students. This initiative highlights the importance of tailored education efforts, focusing on bridging these gaps and empowering rural children with better opportunities.
